FS: Akubra Lawson in hard to obtain color (62)

This is new. It is part of the akubra heritage collection. I had it shipped from Australia. It is in the heritage fawn color, which is not available in the US. It comes with a heritage presentation box. The corners of the box are a little squashed from its journey to Chicago

It is size 62. It has never been worn.

David Morgan only carries the dark brown lawson (that color in Australia is called Loden) David Morgan calls it dark fawn. It way different from the heritage fawn that is sold in Australia--which is an almost grayish green color. . If you check the Akubra site, the Lawson comes in two colors--Loden (which is what David Morgan is selling as dark fawn) and heritage fawn. I guess David Morgan didn't think the color "loden" would resonate with US consumers. If you want this color, you have to buy it from Australia. There is a three month wait to have the hat made.

Yes. It may not be an exact conversion. I wear a 7 3/4 in baseball caps.

tissue paper. lol If they do, it might be worth the gamble. Thanks

Yeah. i am not a true 62 either. I am between sizes. I have a brown Lawson and I had to purchase some felt hat sizing tape. It is basically a padded strip that you put in the leather headband.

Best is felt squares from WalMart craft dept. White, so no chance of sweat making dye run, cost about 50 cents.
Cut into strips & tuck behind sweat band.
I have some foam strips with adhesive backing but these Akubras will draw in with wear & would want a sticky mess to remove.
