FS: Akubra Federation IV, Black, Size 58

Black Federation IV from Akubra in size 58. Shaped, but worn less than 5 times. Asking $25 (USD) and the Buyer pays freight.

I've owned 3 different Fed IVs and this is one stiff hat. I don't know what happened at the Akubra factory, but this one got a healthy dose of stiffener. This may make reshaping the hat a challenge - or maybe not, I don't know.

Sorry for the less-than-stellar pics, but I'm limited with my equipment and space.

This hat is already sealed in a hatbox for shipping, but if you'd rather not face the price of shipping a full-size hatbox, I can adjust as necessary.

I generally wear a 57 and just ordered a 57 fed iv deluxe being told this hat runs small and that they were out of stock but had a 58 that measured 57.2. Would you say your hat was smaller than an average 58? I'd be interested in the hat for 25$ if I thought it weren't too large. What do you imagine shipping to Missouri would be?

I think this Fed IV might fit slightly smaller than some of my Camp Drafts in 58, but I wouldn't say it is anywhere near a full size smaller.

As for shipping, it probably varies with the carrier, but the last hatbox I shipped across the USA cost about $65-$70. I know: ouch.

It sounds like a real good fit for my wife. But I daren’t ask about shipping costs to Japan. She’s not entirely convinced she wants a black hat anyway.
