I'm thinning the heard. Despite loving this jacket and investing in a new zipper last year from Thurston Bros., I need to make room in my closet and this one just doesn't fit as well as others (I'm more of a board racer shape).

I bought this a couple years ago second hand and haven't worn it much because I have a lot of jackets in rotation. If you've ever had struggles with the tiny #5 Talon zippers Aero stubbornly uses, than you'll know they eventually all need to be replaced. I've saved you the trouble by replacing the front zip with a super smooth and sturdy Italian made zipper from Thurston Bros. I also added zipper pulls to the chest pockets, as they were removed by the previous owner.

Battered tan horsehide is one of my favorite leathers, but I have a Wayfarer in the same hide that fits better, otherwise I wouldn't stand to part with this beauty. Unfortunately, the fit just isn't great for me, so I need to move on.

Please see photos for exact measurements. I'm never sure if I'm measuring the sleeve length properly, so I've provided multiple methods. Reach out with any questions or for additional pictures.

I'm asking $600 plus shipping, PayPal Friends and Family. I paid more than this for it, plus over $200 for the zipper replacement (after shipping both directions), so I think this is a fair price. I'm losing money on it, but that's how this game goes sometimes.

I'll soon be posting more jackets and am willing to offer a discount if you're buying more than one. Thanks for looking.

I wasn't familiar with the brand, and still don't know anything other than it's a fantastic zipper. What can you tell me about it?
Here is their webpage: https://www.myzip.it/
They are a merger of a snap bottom and hardware with a zipper company. They were both top garment industry providers. I have used Mas Italia SRL snaps buttons before.

I tried to upload their PDF catalog, but my file was too large for this site. However, if you can download directly from their website.

Thanks! I will investigate further.

Is that a size #8 on your jacket's main zipper? It does look good. I have known some members trying to get them for their CF racers. I have a Cal leather's CF racer prototype that has a #10 conmar that is a beast and does not look very big. Cal leathers decided to go with #5 zippers instead of the #10. I think it was due to improve their bottom line and not for looks? My reasoning is because the late 50s leather jacket manufacturing understood the advantages of stronger zippers.

It is a #8. I like a good solid #10, but a #8 will do the trick just fine. I really can’t stand anything smaller for leather. I know many prefer the more period accurate zippers, but I really want it to function well and the larger ones just work better from my experience. I have three Aeros in Dena’s possession right now for zipper replacements.
