It's been many years since I last posted in the forum. Decided to stop by because I'm thinning my collection and letting go of a few of my hats that I no longer wear. I'm offering my gray 1940's (that was the consensus back when I posted about it here--you can probably still find the thread) Stetson whippet. The hat is is very good condition, it was cleaned professionally years ago in NYC and I haven't worn it much. The pictures speak for themselves. The felt is nice with no moth damage, only some slight fading below the edge of the ribbon where it meets the brim. The sweatband is supple with no cracks. The sewn-in liner has some staining. The size is 7 1/8 and it wears pretty true to it. The ribbon has some fading in the front. I suppose a new one can be fit, but I opted for keeping it all original. Stetson vintage box included.
