FS- 1950's BRITISH LEATHER CYCLE JACKET sz 38/40

Hey guys,
I'm selling a gorgeous 1950's cycle/sport leather jacket. It's kind of a cross between a Highwayman and a D Lewis. Made in England with Lightning zippers. It's in beautiful shape with only 1 little poke in the leather on the collar (see pics). The lining is totally intact, and it's got great details:
- detachable throat latch
- Zig zag stitching on the collar
- zip sleeves with leather pulls
- button up inside pocket.
No size tag, but it fits like a 38-40. That said, it's cut trim around the waist, and Its a bit snug on me there. (I'm 36" around at the navel- if I could just lose 2" on my gut).

Here are the measurements:
18"- across shoulders
21.5"- pit to pit
19"- at waist
24.5"- nape to bottom
24"- shoulder to end of sleeve

That's a lovely jacket. Not at all like the majority of British jackets of the era. A special one!

Me says lose the 2" of gut and keep the jacket- brilliant all around!

I think it's just a bit long for the wearer. I find this often with vintage leather jackets that were supposed to be waist length - when longer, the jacket sits on the hips, which is a bigger circumference than the waist, and so the jacket feels uncomfortably tight.

Those hip bones are rather more tricky to reduce!

I am afraid it will be too long for me. I am 5' 6". It is hell because I have to pass on a lot of nice jackets due to the sleeve and body length.
