FREEWHEELERS LUMPER BEACH CLOTH WORK JACKET 1930s STYLE WORK CLOTHING HIGH GAUGE MEDIUM WEIGHT BEACH CLOTH
Lot No. 2131007
This work jacket is a popular item made from the original beach cloth that has been popular since the founding of the Freewheelers.
Based on the 1930's style work sports jacket, this jacket is a little shorter in length and has a sleek mid-length.
It has an open collar and can be closed to the top with the attached chin strap.
Slightly rounded hip pockets and a back style with buttons on each side to cinch the waist.
Beachcloth, or Russell weave as it is commonly referred to, is a material that Freewheelers have always sought to replicate to the best of their ability. This is a piece of clothing that allows you to enjoy the overwhelming power and appearance of men who stand up for what is difficult to reproduce.
■The material is an exquisite sesame salt beach cloth that recreates the texture of dead stock beach cloth from around the 1920s.
■The front buttons are made of 22mm tagua palm nut buttons and have an outstanding presence.
■The shape of the cuffs is also unique to the 1930s, with a long pointed design.
■Non-washed product.
■GRAINED CHARCOAL STRIPE (Outer fabric) x NAVY (Lining) : Button OLIVE
■GRAINED BLACK STRIPE (Outer fabric) x BLACK (Lining) : Button BLACK
Material: 70% WOOL, 30% COTTON
Color: 2 COLORS
Country of Origin: Japan
Notes from Brogue Shop:
The "Beach Cloth" was introduced by a brand in the early 1900s in the United States, and was an epoch-making fabric that had "the toughness of cotton one side and the warmth of wool on the other side". Of course, it was made from natural materials, and it continues to fascinate people not only because of its functionality but also its special look and texture. Weaving is done by a rare Russell loom in Freewheelers, which has been customized with a machine shop. Using 3 types of heather yarns on the front and 2 types of wool yarns on the back. This can only be made by Freewheelers with this special loom.
