I saw those pictures. Really nice! And the family looked great as well!
You didn't find the AB (or any fur felt for that matter) too hot?

Nope the shade it provided was much cooler than the heat without it. My clothes were soaked with sweat but the hat never soaked through just the liner which may have had a cooling effect too.

Thanks, you're right. Kind of easy to confuse them given that so many Indy hats are now adventurebilts and so many adventurebilts now are Indy hats. Oh and thanks for he compliment. -M

Yesterday the mailman gave to me 3 (count 'em, 3!) hats! One is the Penman that I posted yesterday (see "My Penman Hat Collection). The other two hats I received were Adventurebilts!

Both of these Adventurebilts were originally made by Steve back in 2006. This first one I had Steve do a reblock on it to make it a Crystal Skull hat.

The second one I just bought off of eBay. It was made from the same run of felt as the hats worn by Harrison Ford in the last Indiana Jones movie. It has aged beautifully!!! Although it really needs a reblock since it tapered a bit.
