Hello,
Trying something a bit different here — offering up my original 1930s Monarch MFG Co. horsehide half-belt for trade. This is a textbook pre-war civilian Monarch: hefty hide, clean patterning, unique shoulder gussets, French seams, storm cuffs, and that unmistakable early Monarch silhouette.
This jacket passed through the hands of Dave Sheeley, a well-known Monarch expert and builder of his own jackets. At some point it appears he refreshed a few elements using period-correct NOS materials — the lining looks to be NOS ’30s wool plaid, and the main zipper/ball chain appear to have been installed with era-appropriate hardware. The work is extremely well executed and blends seamlessly; the jacket wears and presents as an authentic early Monarch without any of the usual issues these have.
Mostly looking for trades. Not really interested in selling at this time.

What I’m looking for:
- 1930s–40s jackets (nothing post-’50s)
- Aviator styles, unique half-belts, or similarly uncommon early pieces
- Fit around a modern 40 or larger
