For summer-suede shoes: moccasins or usual Derbys?

Actually, I got the possibility to get very very nice crepe-soled shoes in department-store, for the next summertime. There's a brand, offering suede-moccasins and simple suede-Derbys, both crepesoled :) , both on the same price.

I can't really decide, actually. I like the moccasins very much and actually, I would prefer them. But, would you say, that the Derbys could be more robust? If that's the case, I would grab the Derbys, although the moccasins look very nice.

I will first get the Derbys and if build-quality is okay, I could get the moccasins later. Let's see, how nice my first crepesole-shoes will be!

No piece of clothing is more foul looking than the moccasins. Don't get the moccasins.

That's for sure. I don't really give a toss about footwear (I just own several pairs of the one style of boot) and I've never understood the idea of a summer shoe. Even when it's 104 degrees I just wear my Blundstones (or similar).
