I get it, you don't care what happens to it after it's sold, that's the new owner's right. And it is, but I still think what I think, if someone were to replace that lining with something else. It's a perfectly good lining. Maybe not everyone's style, but that doesn't mean it's a good idea to rip it out and replace it.

Possibly some crossed wires here.

I certainly am not advising anyone to replace the lining. The one in now has plenty going for it in my opinion.

But if someone truly considers it a deal breaker then I'm certainly not going to advise against it either. After all, it's the buyer's money to spend how he sees fit and if forking out for a replacement would make an imperfect jacket perfect in his eyes then I say that'd be money well spent. Let's not forget too that this jacket (a BK in Shinki) is a one off that isn't ever going to be seen again. My preference is for the owner to be very happy with it

I think what would help is a photo of the collar open. If the jacket has leather facing, then no one will see the lining. So the point becomes a non-issue. I personally would love to see a bit of camo peeking out, but the jacket is too big for me.
GLWS.

I somehow missed this post earlier. Do you mean a photo of the jacket worn unopened?

The jacket does not have leather facings, which I think is cool because it aids the drape. But that said, as far as I can recall, with it on the lining is not visible. I'll take a look later tonight to see if I can turn up a fit pic or two

Looks like a dandy jacket. My experience with custom jackets is you pay a premium for the custom and take a beating on the resale. I usually give my custom stuff away rather than endure all of the opinions of those who aren't interested in making an offer.

Beautiful jacket pity it’s way too big. The lining looks great in my opinion, a nice fresh touch instead of the usual tartan.

* I should add that for UK buyers since postage will be cheaper we can knock a few quid off my 850 USD asking price. I guess a saving of around 20GBP would be about right

Really interesting jacket, a bit surprised actually that it isn't sold yet.

The man has a point!

£550 shipped to the UK with PP FnF
or £560 for overseas.

I can dispatch July 9th and this price really is as low as I can go. For a shinki jacket this nice I believe this kind of money is unheard of! So why make do with goatskin when this hide is so much better

I actually think this one woukd be ideal for your climate @Australia
Any interest @Thuggee @dan_t ?? You guys are 42s I think

And for the record, I am always happy to work with my buyers to keep costs down

Sleeves may well be a bit short for your liking Dan, as they are mine, but IMHO anyone under 6,6" really doesn't need this model 26" long, and without naming any names, I think that those who have added this type of length to this tyoe of model previously have invariably lived to regret it
