Would I be correct in saying that the replacement waistband has been sewn inside out? Looks like a beautiful jacket. Is the replacement waistband the same color as the original?

The replacement knits are almost an exact match in color to the originals. The ELC knits only lasted a short while before they stretched out and even succumbed to a moth nip/hole developing.
Jacket is in great condition and nicely broken in. Wish it still fit me :-(

Hey Thor
i am passing on that Cockpit vintage G-1. From all my researching I recon it'll be too short and going a size up it may be a bit big.
So, that leaves this as a possibility...
I am 5'10-11" Slim build. U recon this jacket would fit well enough? I think I mentioned before I wear a 40 Long in premium maker A-2s.
Ideal A-2 measurements would be Back length 25.5-26, sleeve length 25.5 -26, chest 22+ and shoulder 18-19...
I know these M-422s can be worn a touch bigger for comfort and its still pretty authentic.
Any pics of you in it for ref???
Regs the cuffs and knit... Still tight?
Thanks
Brett

Shoot me yer e-mail and I can attach a pic or 2. Much easier for me then going thru FL.
In most of the WWII pics I've seen of Navy aviators in their m-422a jackets, they wore them loose, not sausage-skin tight like some guys in their A-2's!
The knits on my jacket are still good and snug.
