looks good! so did you send them the original garment, or just measurements?

In this case I sent them the actual jacket and asked to be copied completely without any changes in measurements. Previously they designed the u boat jacket they currently make off pictures of a u boat jacket made by wested for the movie dad boot that found when one of them was placed up for auction. This design is much more accurate in my opinion obviously since it is an original jacket. That being said there was a lot of variations in original jackets

It's not entirely without precedent. I feel like I've seen similar darts elsewhere as well, but clearly a small minority.

yeah definitely too long. would adjust the length and get more traditional pockets

Got the prototype u boat jacket based on the original I sent in. They didn’t have the buttons I wanted so I will sew ones on myself. They tanned a new leather just for this jacket, I think it’s a great upgrade over their matte grey steerhide. This new leather is goat. Overall I am extremely impressed. Here is a picture of the original and the new jacket

Whisky hh. I really like the color and character but haven’t seen it from other makers, especially at this price point.

To be honest at first glance looks very similar to my ELMC Californian in Havana HH. The stitching looks super impressive too, very neat.
If you said this was from a Japanese brand name I’d fall for it.

- Beige thread
- Three piece CURVED sleeves.
- Talon bell shaped brass main zipper
- chest pocket should be lower like on my other orders as shown in photo.

- cuffs like in photo
-collar like photos of my other jackets not pointy
- black satin lining

Chest: 23”
Shoulder: 19”
Waist: 20”
Sleeve Length: 26”
Bicep: 16.25”
Cuff opening: 5.5”
Back length: 25”
