Finalised last details on my CR order today too with him so I'll wait for some pictures!

My jacket is complete and ready to ship. He nailed all the dimensions with the possible exception of shoulder width. It looks like it’s 1/2” under my target of 19.5”. Should be fine.
And I wonder if I went too aggressive with my 2” drop. I’ll never do up all the buttons so after break in period I think it will be fine too.

Judging by the photo's, the front drop looks to be more than 2'.
Looks similar to my Aero which has a 3' front drop.

looks like it’s 2” however yours looks great so makes me feel mine will be fine. Maybe its more the convex shape at the bottom of mine thats bugging me. Regardless, it will be ok.

That looks ace! I definitely feel the itch for another Fivestar looking at both the design and leather of yours! I really like the pocket set up.

Had another look at your jacket and noticed the length of the cinch belts. Mine look really short. No extra length. Considering my jacket is cut pretty trim I don't imagine I will have to cinch them up much, if at all, but I think I should have some extra material there. Waddya think? Problem or not?

Length looks good to me. On the photos the side panels aren't pulled together yet there's still some length left on those straps. I think you'll be good.

Working my way from the beginning and end of this long thread so apologies if this has been answered...

Would you recommend going with a stock design(designed by you fine folks) for my first cossack leather jacket?

Thinking about this one but different leather, https://www.fivestarleather.us/coll...ossack-real-leather-buffalo-distressed-jacket .

I know not to go with their sizes and to provide my own measurements. I figure this is a good way to see if I truly enjoy the style before committing more money. Thanks!

To my knowledge, this model is based on my Cossack. You can take that for sure. But I would always have it made to my own measurements.

I'm not even halfway through the thread but I've already seen a few of your jackets. All awesome! Is that the one that you prefer to keep the collar popped?

Will the buckles even work the way they are mounted? That's not how they are supposed to work.
IMO they are mounted backwards and i don't think they will hold without the double back.

Saying that you could do the double back towards the front like on @Marc mndt 's jacket above...
But the straps are very short.
I don't think they know how these buckles work.

I got into this a few days ago in an earlier post. They will work both ways. 5* mount them in the way they are mounted on my jacket, unless specifically asked not to. I missed this detail unfortunately. My Vanson buckle is mounted to the back, Thedi appear to also. Aero definitely mount to the front. I am ok with the way the buckle is mounted, but am concerned about the length of strap.

I think this stap has about the same length.

I'm somewhat surprised but it holds up just fine, both ways.
