am I crazy for considering selling this RC Herc for a MF Campus jacket? I really thought I’d found my grail jacket last year, with this one. The leather is beautiful, the Herc design is a classic and the fit is great, standing in a tshirt.

It does feel a tad tight when driving and lifting my arms. The fit is a more modern Japanese style - slim shoulders and chest, which works for me but may not be that flattering. The length is good for untucked t-shirts but as you can see it looks long on me with high waisted jeans and a tucked shirt.

I like how the jacket fits you.

I think you’re right. It’s a good fit on me, just not sure it’s the fit or style that I want. Or maybe I’m just fishing for some enabling to swap it out for the next shiny new thing.
This jacket is very suitable for your style. When we already have something, we start watching something else)

But if you really want to, you can choose a new path. It's actually a game.

Cockpit B-3 in size 42 which is my exact chest measurement. It seemed okay at first, but the more I wear it the more I begin to think maybe I should have downsized to a 40. The arm length is good, but the arms and the chest look too roomy with just a long sleeve shirt underneath. I go back and forth to myself about it…the jacket itself is really great and it’s my first sheepskin jacket.

Am I mistaken to think it should be more snug or is this considered good for a sheepskin/B-3 jacket?

Considering you've already asked something on this topic, I think your only way forward is buying a size 40 and trying them on. If it doesn't fit well, you can return it and get your money back. If it does fit well, you can simply sell it in the Classifieds at a loss. Most people would rather losing money than having a poorly fitting jacket.

You're unsure, and that's your answer. Even if ten people here told you that the jacket suits you, you wouldn't like it. So get rid of it.

Eh, I have to disagree with this advice as not everyone is accustomed to or experienced enough with how something should look or fit. That’s why people go to tailors and professionals; for their guidance.

That's pretty much exactly how my B3 fits and I love it. Don't overthink it

I have a similar jacket that fits like how your does. I was OK with the spacious fit but I find the hem was wider than I liked as it let cold air get in from the bottom. So instead of a super warm jacket, there would be "draft" of cold air that will sneak into the jacket intermittently

For sure. Once I cinched in the waist tabs by one notch it fixed that problem for me.

Hi everyone,
It's been a bit since I've been on here, but I needed some advice on some of my old favorites. I'm apparently getting wider as I get older, and with tastes changing I'm starting to think that maybe these three don't fit as well as they used to (or never did?). I reckon I just need a third party to tell me that it's time to put these on eBay. Help a brother out.

I've got an old N1 from the 50s that is starting to get real tight at the arms.
My Aero Premier feels like it's too short and looks ridiculous.
Also, my Thedi shawl collar is now relegated to "t-shirts only" underneath.

Let's hear it!

Yeah looks a bit tight to be honest(esp. the Aero and N-1), and I'm all for "rock N roll"-tight jackets but they look rather uncomfortable.

In the end it's all up to you mate, if you planning on staying at your current weight I would sell them and get myself a new jacket to play with :D

Cheers!

You should sell all these jackets.
