For sure the Billy Reid fits better, not solely because of the sleeve length.
Yeah, then I think I'll keep the Billy Reid and give the other Peacoat to my friend, who has been looking for one for a while. Having too many peacoats or coats in general will probably give me decision fatigue—the Billy Reid is by no means a bad coat, either.

It really ultimately comes down to what you're comfortable with in the end. They're shorter than I could live with, but that's me...

I'm not one for definitive statements on what is necessary at certain temperatures, as we're all different: you'll find plenty of folks will queue up to tell you an Irvin or a B3 is "overkill for London Winter", but both proved ideal for me. Some folks find a longer winter jacket preferable to keep the spine end warmer on the go, or because they're wearing a blazer underneath, so it's all relative really. If the IH N1 is a good length for you and is heavy enough for you in that cold, though, it's definitely a good option.
It is going to drop to -7 degrees this week. I’ll see how I feel in my Parka and my Deck Jacket. That will decide if I buy another Parka after retiring this one. There are plenty of vintage N3Bs at reasonable prices compared to the repro heritage market.

I bought a used Canada Goose jacket on eBay a while back for a couple of hundred dollars, but I couldn't even zip it up because it was too small. I returned it and thankfully received a full refund. Now that I've had one in hand, I can confidently say that I will never buy another Canada Goose jacket again, unless something unexpected occurs.

I am just going through my wardrobe deciding what to keep. Here are two RM jackets I think fit me great. Wonder what y’all think. Plus any more opinions on the Billy Reid Peacoat. I think these are all keepers, had these jackets for a few years.

Nice wardrobe, dude. I like the shearling fit a lot, but maybe the sleeves are a bit short? Normally I would say these are okay on the shorter side, but in winter maybe you want your wrists covered... Check that, gloves will take care of that.

Yeah, I think these all fit very well. Of the jackets I have posted, the shearling B3 sleeves are much better than the rest. I also have a Baracuta G9, but I know that fits fine.

I’m debating whether it is time to pass on the WW2 USN Peacoat. I have plenty of coats, and I’m unsure of the fit. It feels tighter than the Billy Reid. On the fence probably means it will go ngl.

@Peacoat I would consider you the expect, what be your final verdict on my WW2 Peacoat? Being that you said it is a size or two too small; I should probably get rid of it?

Alll fit you great (though I’m of the personal view that A2s in general are unflattering).

The B-3 and pea coat look amazing

Luckily for me, the A2 is stuck in Japanese customs right now. I can see that view; A2s are generally boxy, although the RM pattern is a bit more modern cut. I think A2s look better than G-1s or any other leather flight jacket outside of the B3.

I actually think a well fitting G-1 can look quite good. I own a wool G-1 from schott and think it’s my best fitting jacket!

I think the B-3 would look amazing with slightly looser jeans (as B-3s are quite big), but like i said fits you great

Thank you for the compliment! It means a lot.

Is the G-1’s body made out of wool or just the collar? If the outer shell is wool and not leather, that is unique, and I would love to see a picture.

I had a Schott 594, an excellent jacket. I picked it up for $200, 80% off. It was built like a tank, had a superb fit, and was warm and cozy. I gave it to a friend because I felt guilty for hoarding so many cool leather jackets.

The body is actually made of wool, which I love!

(This is an old photo, I don’t wear jeans this skinny anymore)

People here were mentioning that Iron Heart would be a good brand for my body. Any here have any experience with their L2B jacket?
