The horsehide of this jacket has just started to soften slightly , but is still far from broken in. I have worn it a handful of times, but it is a bit too long for me as a shorter guy. I think this would look best on someone 5'9" and up, but that is, of course, a matter of taste.
Craftsmanship and materials are some of the best I have ever handled on a jacket. The horsehide is proprietary and made to Fine Creeks exacting criteria by Shinki Hikaku tannery in Japan. Pulls are vintage style heavy duty Waldes chain zips and the main zipper is Talon. The Leon Custom has the epaulettes and half belt cut off to mimic the state many vintage Schotts are found in, and the pattern is an homage to the iconic Schott 613 "one star." Asking $1650
