Final version....Hitchhiker by VS

HI Gents,
I received the first portion of my felts and have been working on your comments to see how enticing I can make this hat and here is the final product...times 4
I've decided to offer 4 different models

Leather band

Hand braided suede band ( braided by myself)

12 ligne ribbon ( 1")

Midnite brown 6 ligne ribbon

If interested, please contact me. The final price is a bit more than I had hoped at $265 but considering the $50 Lounge discount it's isn't too bad.


PS...I completely forgot to add the new dimensions!!!

Crown 5 1/2 open, 4 1/4 creased, brim raw 2 7/8" . I discovered the underwelt is almost impossible with this brim.

Felt is " Natural "Nutria blend. This is the felt Winchester has been working with me on as it's my own proprietary blend and I'm pretty excited about it.

That was during the preparatory stage of the new felt/model, so some things have changed. You'll see when you read it.

It's a custom, blitz, so if you don't like the color we can change it to one you do like

I edited my original post John to include the specs but what I didn't answer is the inspiration. I've been thinking about a Crossover hat since building yours a few years ago. Also, by not making it in pure beaver but rather a blend, I can put it in reach for more Gents that otherwise wouldn't be able to have a custom hat made. By adding the nutria, I've toughened up the felt to hold up better to the elements.

I e mailed Art on Sat, Feb 11, and got a reply the next day it was "on the block".

My son called and wants to meet us next month, so I e mailed Art yesterday so he would not ship for delivery the middle of March and I get a reply this morning that the hat will be going out this this week.
