Sorry to disappoint guys, but it's a bit Jazz fusion, from the 80's.
Billy Cobham/George Duke. I'm gonna check out that link to see if I can post it here first.

Let me know if it works, if it does.....let me know what you think. [huh]
Thanks Doc, I thought so......DrQuest said:Hey, that sounds pretty good......kinda fits too....:eusa_clap
Great song, excellent rendition.....but not a song I would choose for the Theme Song of The Lounge, IMHO. [huh]Pilgrim said:I'll vote with JamesPowers - "Style" from Robin & The Seven Hoods". Best "dressing" song I know.
And although Harlem Nocturne was beautifully chosen for the theme of the Mike Hammer TV program, it goes back much, much further. Earle Hagen wrote it for a radio series in 1940. Though it's generally thought of as a sax number, you haven't really heard it until you've heard one of guitarist Danny Gatton's renditions. Absolutely stunning.
Here's one version on AOL video:

I like the version on his greatest hits two-CD set better, but this is good.

You're kidding...?DrQuest said:FYI:
Be very VERY careful about this file. I liked the song so I downloaded it and later the same day, I got a message there was trojan spyware on my PC. It has hijacked my desktop and home page, and has made a major mess of things. The virus is called cryp tap-2, so guys, be VERY careful about downloading anything. I am not saying it was this particular file, but my computer was fine until after I downloaded it. I am still trying to remove it from my PC. This is one stubborn trojan.
bolthead said:You're kidding...?
did anyone else download it before it was removed?DrQuest said:Nope. As I said, I can't prove this was the file that broke the camel's hump, but I didnt have any problems with spyware and hijacking my browser, etc until after I downloaded the song. It's possible it could be something else but I haven't downloaded anything else recently except for music on ITunes. This thing is nasty and makes it VERY difficult to do anything. I ran Anti-Spyware programs all night last night and I still havent removed all of it. It changed my wallpaper, home page, and the pop ups that tell me I have spyware and that I need to download now to stop it, never stop. Didnt take me long to figure out, THAT WAS THE SPYWARE ITSELF. If I ever find the sleazebag who created this program, I will make him a soprano permanently. (And I dont mean one of Tony's familia either.) Dont know exactly where I got it but it sure has made me realize I need to be more careful. Proceed with caution.

It was Billy Cobham/George Duke's "Do What Cha Wanna" from the Live from Europe LP. The song is perfect for this Forum.jimmy the lid said:I did -- but my Mac is OK. Bolthead, what was the title of the song again? (I think I deleted the file, but I just want to make sure...)
Cheers,
