Favorite Keeper Leather Jackets

I am a hoarder so my inclination is to say all of them. If they fit, even if only in my head, I usually keep them, to the point I sometimes forget I have them.

Now, the jackets I will never forget that I own are: Commando, Hardcore Highwayman, Force and D Pocket Vest. Close behind them are my Chopper, vintage Highwayman and Pegasus D-pocket. The rest (Beck-Arnley, Comet, Brimaco Cycle Champ, Model B, all my denim jackets), I will probably be happily surprised in the future when I stumble across them in my closet.

This jacket stands out as a Keeper. I have no reason to sell it or not wear it and probably will never outgrow it.

It represents collectible with practicality. As a collectible it stands at the top of the 1930s heavy leather outerwear. Most of the 30s Catalog show this "barnstormer" style as the top dog of outerwear.

I live in an area where you can wear a coat like this. It is a favorite of cold weather walks. It is as warm as any coat I've worn. No reason to move it along.

The Coat on the right is a Hercules brand. I bought it about a week before the other. It was a great deal in great condition, but probably not a great fit. While waiting for it to arrive I closed a deal on the "other" coat. The other coat is the one that fits the best. Large enough to cover a lot of layering.

I would say both are from the late 30s, probably 80 years old! They both function as they were intended.

I've got other keepers, but these come to the top. It will now be a challenge to find another for this list.

These are truly special!

It's just too cool.

Not much of a photographer to do the beautiful reddish tan jacket justice- photos of it have been posted on the forum before if they can still be viewed or anyone has them.

It's a real head turner. Lots of compliments!

Ton ..tracking says it will be here on Friday but I'm thinking the middle of the week. Hell it took over two days for it to be shipped around and finally out of Oregon, though, so I don't know.

You just got the wrong size LW. Vanson is not better than LW. There is a learning curve and you learn from your experiences...
