My grandparents on their wedding day.
With great grandparents and great uncles.
Notice my granddad being a rebel without a hat...

That’s too funny. Makes me think of Leon offering a bite of his sandwich to Andy and Barney on The Andy Griffith Show.Sam answers an alter call ...
As the closing hymn was played today in church, my three year old grandson Sam quietly gets up from his seat in the back of the church and slowly walks down to the front. I was a bit startled, thinking Sam was answering an alter call. However, Sam had something else in mind.
During the children's sermon, the preacher used a peanut butter and jelly sandwich as an example of God's covenant with Abraham (it's a long story). After he was finished with the children's sermon, the preacher said if any of the children wanted the sandwich they could come and get it when the service was over.
Well, since the closing hymn marks the end of the service, Sam took the opportunity to go get the sandwich. He quietly walked down the aisle, the preacher came down from the pulpit to see Sam, and Sam polietly asked for the sandwich. After thanking the preacher, Sam quietly walked back to his seat with his sandwich, all while the closing hymn was playing. There was a mixture of smiles, soft chuckles, and a few tears as Sam walked along.
I sure do wish I'd had my phone with me to capture this all; but even without a photo, it's a memory that will remain with me (and I'm sure a lot of others) for a long, long time.
Looks like she is trying to fret some chords. Way to go!My three year old granddaughter, Adelynn, with crazy hair from a nap. She enjoys music and loves to sing. She likes strumming her ukulele and singing while Papa plays mandolin. I think she may be ready to learn some chords.

What a cutie Bowen! Her job now is to keep you wrapped around her little finger. Sounds like she is off to a good start! You are blessed!View attachment 108957 View attachment 108958 View attachment 108959 Greetings All:
For my first post in this thread let me introduce my first grandchild who loves hats!
Her name is Willow Jay.
Day 1, couple days ago, and today right before she popped the ribbon stitches of my Stetson. She can get away with that, for now.
Be well. Bowen
