This fedora has sold.

Here goes...beautiful hat, probably the best fitting hat I have ever had. Finally received my November 2007 order a couple months ago...but doesn't really fit into my regular wear stable and I have some other bills that need tending. The fedora is a true 7 3/8 Long Oval. 23 inches inside circumference. Brim width is 2 1/2 at the sides and 2 3/4 front and back. 5 inch crown height. This is the Raiders style Adventurebilt. It is, indeed, a Long Oval. Beaver. $450, shipped. I have probably worn it to work 3 times.

The long wait history is recorded here on the lounge. Steve Delk got in over his head with orders when he was charging much less than he does today...then fell ill with cancer. He has been working the back orders separately from the newer $600 orders. I'll leave it at that. You can search the site here for further stories.

No secret. People waiting 10%-15% of an average human lifespan :rip: for the hat they paid a mere four or five bills for, some six, seven, eight years ago. It's the stuff of High Drama* over at COW, to read it you will have to register tho'.

It is rather "Stockholm Syndrome"- like, imo. [huh] But I am an idiot, so there is that to consider.

If you care to update,there are threads re the various issues,most pretty well beat to death.IMO,the bottom line is that John Penman is now making AB hats and is 100% reliable as to delivery.
