Here is a trio of ties from the late 30's - early 40's that are in extra nice shape and have some qualities that stand out a little more than the ones I have had up for sale recently:
1) Beautifully made chocolate brown that appears to be almost a knitted texture - a very open weave with a simple yet striking white "domino" motif. This one is labeled "Tisse Main Soie" and "Madelios Paris" .
2) Deep wine color with brighter red, with a leaf-like jacquard pattern, interspersed wiht rosettes of black, red and silver. This one is labeled "Guy d'or, Marque Deposee" and "Organsin Rhodia Acetate" - Please note - there is NOT a spot on this tie - there is something that looks like a spot in the photo, but it must be a shadow or trick of the light - this tie has no issues.
3) Nice formal tie in blue, silver and yellow, tiny chevron weave - I think this was called a Macclesfield or Spitalsfield type tie - this one is from the legendary Rogers Peet Co, and is labeled as such.
These ties are $15 ea shipped in USA, or $18 shipped abroad (first tie only).
