Life is short and brutish, filled with pain and suffering. Might as well look good while enjoying it.
Life is short and brutish, filled with pain and suffering.
That would make a great signature
Brings this to mind (A.E. Houseman again):
Here dead lie we because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose;
But young men think it is, and we were young.
In any case, if and when the time comes, I will not let myself become an old and sickly (or just sickly) burden to my family. I'll check out, and I'll do it my own way. Ideally, I'll scuba dive deeper and deeper down until nitrogen narcosis leads me to peacefully lose consciousness. "Truly, for some men, nothing is written unless they write it."
You might as well write "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but whips and chains excite me" (Mae West) :rofl:
How beautifully morbid.
Can't think of a better way to check out. Back into the watery abyss from which we all came. From light to darkness. From sharp sound and fury to murmuring peace. Rocked to sleep by the current. The circle closed at last.
Now that quote is much better
Leaves more to the imagination :rofl:
Truly Marc I can say that when a man breathes his last breath he wishes he had another one. Do not go gently into that dark night.

.
Fixed.
