Well, lets go down the checklist---
Stinky---Check.
Long hair---Check
Stupid look on face---well maybe.
Smokes dope---not enough evidence.
I think the jury is still out on that then. I think I would rather have a bigfoot as a neighbor. :p

I agree. Bigfoot are never sighted begging for anything or protesting against the Man. They also appear to be pretty quiet and keep to themselves.

I don't blame you one bit. I know if I had full coverage on the Fleetwood, they'd want to total it. I'd rather spend a couple hundred bucks now and fix it right than pay all that insurance money all this time to have them declare my car a total loss.

Actually, the insurance company wanted to total it at first. The damage was about $30 above the point which they considered the vehicle a total loss. I bought this car new in 2002 and have taken very good care of it so there was no way I could get a comparable vehicle for the book value that they wanted to pay me. Fortunately they relented and I'm still driving it today.

Hippie=young people of the 60s that alienate themselves from conventional society, into mysticism, psychedelic
drug use, communal living and avant-garde arts ect.
As per Websters Dictionary

If only it was the 1960s burnouts. They had kids too. A lot of them have invaded society as Hippie---The Next Generation.
You don't see many communes anymore. I am sure the Bigfoot clan got together and kicked them out of the woods. :p

You would have thought that they would have kicked them out of existance with those big feet. Lack of communes might be because today's hippies are lazier than then their parents' generation and because communes typically don't have basements in their teepees.

So, while my Cadillac car is incapacitated, I'm driving my 'farm/work truck' My 1989 Ram. A co-worker drives one, as well, so I had to get this pic at work today lol

Not the best photography, I was walking while I took the pic.

You didn't put the stacks on it yet?

In that vein, I was thinking of going to look at this:

For $1400, I wouldn't care if I hit a deer with it. :p I would have to rip off that hippie top though. :p

I prefer to think of my car as a Corvette in a tuxedo. That LT1 hauls.

Another big turn-off for me with the Eldo and really everything besides the Fleetwood is that Northstar engine. I hear so many horror stories about the costly repairs.

Yes but I want something that doesn't make me look like I should retire. :p
This one might have a bit too much work to do for me. The front driver's seat needs recovering, the IPC has a short somewhere and it has 102,000 miles.

Tuxedo?! More like a tanker truck. :p

The root of most problems with the Northstar is the head bolts do not hold because they were designed stupidly during those years. Fortunately, there is the SureGrip studs that actually work. It is a pain to fix though.

Yeah, I always hear of problems with the head bolts or the gaskets themselves. They also made it difficult to transplant a more reliable engine into the car, which is the route I'd prefer to take. I had considered modding an Eldorado like the one you pictured to fit a 3.8 V6 ,and use it as a commuter car, but I just am not a fan of 6 cylinder engines.

Yes it is. The 1994-1996 Fleetwoods had them, I believe. The body style changed in 1993, but I think it was just a standard 350. The earlier bodystyle came with either a 307 (maybe a 305, too) and a 350, optional, maybe? I hate to guarantee it, 'cause I know if I do, I'll be wrong lol

LT1 in your Caddie original or no?

nice hat dude!

Just curious my buddy RIP had one 1990 something with the Northstar in it he always said it was the only dark blue Caddie that if you scratched it it smelled like lemons...thought that was a pretty good line.
