My grandmother was probaby more vociferous than you are about Thanksgiving. She thought they lost the meaning of Thanksgiving and Christmas. To get her to put up a tree every year was a quite a chore.:rolleyes:lol lol

lol lol lol

Sometimes I think people have forgotten the message of Thanksgiving and Christmas. Especially Thanksgiving. It's all about Black Friday deals around that time. I'm quite surprised they haven't turned Black Friday into a national holiday yet. :p

Cornish hen...ham..beef&noodles...plain/oyster dressing...'cranberries'...gravies..potatoes...old fashion cream pie..mincemeat(yuk)...peach cobbler...snickerdoodles...sugar cookies...bread pudding..

Invite me over for dinner! I got really hungry after I read your post! lol!!

I like to see Christmas like that again (like when I was a kid--it was so fun and magical). Working in retail for so many years has kind of ruined Christmas for me. I've really seen the worst in people around that time. :(

Hi

It's got a name, it's a holiday. I don't celebrate it much though.

Great way to honor the birth of Christ, trampling each other to death in Walmart...

Wonder how many reports of deaths or injuries there'll be on the news this year. Big reason Amazon.com is my best friend around this time of year.

Black Friday is flat-out scary. It's amazing to see how a civilized people become over 'great deals'... trampling over eachother for the newest plastic item, or the latest pocket-computer, and what-not....
