Ever chosen a forum name you regret?

Hello all,
Does anyone know if it's possible to change your forum name without having to re register? I joined this magnificent forum a couple of months ago and had to choose a forum name under pressure hence the plummy sounding title.
"Lord Flashheart" does not really sound like a 42 year old Scotsman who grew up in Sunny Leith (if you knew Leith 25 years ago you would know what I mean) and lives in country Victoria so it's time to fess up to who I am and get a name which reflects who I am.

Denial is in Egypt as far as I'm concerned.

Any advice will be appreciated.

I don't regret mine, but it gets shortened to 'TT'. For me, that is immediately associated with the old British comedy actor Terry-Thomas. Now, whilst i like him and his films, his plummy voice and archetypal English cad image are not really my thing (partly due to the preponderance of 'chappish' types on the 'vintage scene' in the UK that think that style is 'such jolly fun' - but don't really get it).

Yes, you can get it changed. Mine was different and I changed it to match several accounts elsewhere. I PMd a bartender and asked about it. This might be in the FAQ.

I chose mine under pressure in the spur of the moment too; I happened to be drinking it at the time! I figured it seemed to work so I haven't tried to change it. Maybe if I come up with something better. Best of luck to you!

I took mine as I love the UK comedy series Blackadder and Flashheart is one of the characters in it. I love the "Blackadder goes forth" series for its dark humour. The episode "Private Plane" still has me in tears of laughter after 25 years. The series finale is also one of the most poinient endings too.

So a new forum name is required. Any suggestions for a 42 year old 6'3 Scotsman living in the goldfields of Australia? When I was learning to fly, one of the fellas at work came up with "Emelia Braveheart" but I think that might cause some confusion.

Regards

The man with no name............

I never expected to become so addicted, so I just used my email address at the time. About as much personality as . . . an email address. I wish I had used Jazznocracy, a name I use in a couple other venues. It's the most well known song of my favorite big band, Jimmie Lunceford.

I had to think just a little bit for my forum name....I stole my grandmothers name ;)
"She was a classy dame, Miss Stella", my grandfather would tell me after she died. I didn't appreciate her as much as I should have. I think she would have loved the Lounge :)

Mine is my name, plus initials. Keeps things simple. Plus I wouldn't want to write anything on the internet or elsewhere that I'm not prepared to put my name to.

Whilst mine is a bit stuffy sounding, it is the first name of my grandfather and great grandfather (Stratford is an incredible christian name, and I'm even tempted to deed poll it in to my own as an additional middle name! :D) so I'm happy with it (although I do respond to "Will" as well ;) ).
