This post-war beauty has the Royal Warrant stitched into the lining, as well as the original cutter's tag still tacked to the inside pocket. As many of you know, Montague Burton was a well respected English tailoring house based in Leeds with retail outlets across the UK. They were well known for producing the famous 'demob' suits for those leaving the services after WWII.

This is a wonderful, hardly used example of a lightweight tweed with a gorgeous window-pane pattern woven through, which the tailor has taken care to match the lines impeccably where cuts in the fabric exist. This is 'old school' tailoring Gents.

Traditional button fly, single vent back with side button waist ajusters.

Thanks Edward - it really is a beauty.

There's no indication that this has ever been worn, it's in such good condition and the workmanship is just lovely, as is the lightweight tweed (as you can see from the pics).

By all accounts, I have undervalued the price, but it's a good deal for an FL member and I'd rather see it go to a good owner/custodian to wear and enjoy.

Thanks for your kind comments.
