small reference....I am still waiting to get my run of boots made....they are cordovan (shinki) but not shell cordovan...the difference is the shells are two 9 inch dinnerplate size discs inside the bean shaped piece of horsebutt that is the whole piece of cordovan. Real McCoys makes both...one is double the cost of the other...using shinki....also two other points mine will be made in the same factory as the MF boots...the design is more primitive...and reminiscent of very early 1930-40s engineer boots done by my friend Robert at Ace Boots....hopefully we will have them and costed out by the end of this month or next
