Wesco custom, I opted for “no toe box whatsoever”, but in truth I donor know if they still
Put in the celastic. In any case, working from home means working in boots and they got a lot of wear. The toe tip started to collapse and started to look like those movies boots in the 50s movies. The heel could use a 0.25” lift.

Today I received back the pair of vintage engineer that was relast at Dr Sole in Taiwan, I have to say I’m so stoked. The price, customer service, workmanship, packaging were top notch. They make soles, so you get a lot of choices, including this rare brown cork sole. They even give you a heel cap keychain

The heel is a solid 2” height, so much is to do with the overall geometry of the boot because they sure don’t look 2”! RoleClub’s 1.75” heel looks a lot taller

Nice[/QUOTEa quick comment on feel/fit. So, these have 2” heel, the highest probably ever for men’s boots. The last is their in house last, but, since this is a repair job not a brand new Dr Sole design, the fit would only approximate how the original would fit plus the increased heel height. Having said that, I can feel the height of the heel for sure, I don’t think anyone can magically balance out such a tall heel. However, compared with the 100th Anni Wesco with the green sole, which has 1.75” heel, the Wesco was not as balanced, they walked weird, gave me concussion, yet, they didn’t feel as tall, so, all I can say is my heel height sensor is pretty precise. So, kudos for the balancing job on Dr Sole! Cushioning is great too, due to the thick rubber and a spongy heel cushion they use. The rest of the boots then simply reminds me of JL, maybe a little Red Wing, both brands are “low set strap” designs, whereas Brian and Freedom are “high set strap”, Wesco “mid set strap”.

That’s a good looking pair of boots that came out.

How long did it take to get the boots done?

Yeah probably not the best time to take that as an estimate of turnaround due to all that’s going on.

Anyway, I keep seeing their jobs on IG and I’m always liking what they do.
