That looks great on you, I think the sleeves will sit nicer once you wear it in a bit more.

Just to confirm, this one has the new smaller collar, correct?
Also, how big are the pockets and does it have inner pocket(s)?

I’m glad I waited to see your fit pics, should post one of the back when you get a chance.
Sorry, I forgot: I don’t even know if there’s inner pockets, I’ll have to check but tomorrow, everyone is asleep now. I’m not a fan of those as they can add some bulk and I put everything (keys, phone and wallet, everything else -mostly toddler stuff lol- goes in my backpack) in my trouser pockets anyway, I actually asked that my Aero didn’t have any inner pockets.

Yeah I don’t like inner pockets on thick leather either, but I do like the hand warmers to be a decent size, more so if they’re zippered.

Aero must be using japanese sizing then in the Premier range as that one is also a 40 and feels more restrictive!

Quite right. Aero uses an inconsistent sizing system:

Premier Line: fits one size down
1930 patterns: TTS
1950 patterns: fits one size up

Part of the magic, right?! ;)

Long overdue pics of my ELS.

Sorry for the bad quality of the pictures, sadly days are short now and by the time I get to put on my jackets and go out (I work from home in my pyjamas) it’s already dark so artificial light was needed.

Much better pics (but non-fit ones) of my jacket can be found in ELS Insta:

I love it, by far my most special jacket. Much better pattern than the Aero I got right before this jacket (custom Premier Highwayman, which I also love), leather is much more pliable which might be a factor but it just “sits right” compared to that one. I wish the sleeves were a tad slimmer.

Initially it came out a bit longer than I wanted (I like short jackets) so he chopped off an extra 3cms/1.25 inches.

Leather as I say is pliable, much more than the Badalassi in my Aero, it’s calfskin. I don’t go through every stitch but couldn’t see anything out of place.

It wasn’t cheap but there’s a lot of stitching involved:

My Aero, for comparison:

This is a fantastic jacket! I wouldn’t change a thing, including the sleeves. Fits to perfection!

What do you have in mind? That is still a very lovely piece of garments. Very unique!!!

There's a genre of reversible leather shirts from the seventies. Since the Electric Leather piece is unlined, it might be possible to add double sided snaps, make a few changes to the collar and sleeve seams, and be able to wear it both sides out.

That’s an interesting take. Are you planning to have double layer with leather on both side? We have a member here did a reversible hoodies in horsehide by Johnson Leather. He probably can show us some update on his jacket too .

If you look at the original picture of the shirt, it's unlined. The outside has been sprayed a more uniform colour, which I think will wear off over time, whilst the inside is the back of the black and red leather strips it's sewn from.

I'd have it as a single layer, and just allow the inside to be exposed when it's flipped.
