I'm hoping it's a Whippet, but I can't tell. I've not heard of the Ivy League model, but it looks NICE. I wish I could find a hat in that green color.

I doubt the color in those pictures could be that far off.
It is likely gray. Nothing wrong with gray either. It matches quite a lot.

I looked at that hat, and it looks like the wind trolly is buttoned into a special hole in the ribbon rather than just looped back on itself. Very unique.

nope. Sewn to the ribbon. It's not terribly uncommon to see this setup, at least on earlier hats. It also seems to have been favored by smaller hatters.
