I received that Broner AUTUMN Fedora in olive green, and it's definitely a winner.

I made a new band and added my signature gold fishing hook and it's good to go.

I thought I might have to reshape it or fix the crown or something, but it's just a very soft crushable hat.

Here's one that's got me scratching my head. It's obviously not an Adam hat, that's just the box. And the inventory tag pretty clearly says it's a size 7. But the measurements with a tape measure do actually make it seem like it may be a 7 1/2, although one that perhaps shrunk slightly.

It is a nice looking hat, likely on the earlier side, but it's definitely not what the seller thinks they're selling.

Miller Bros. did acquire Adams in 1955. It seems to be a 7 1/2 (or very accurately measure 7 7/16). It might just be what it says it is.

It looks like maybe there is written 7/16 next to the 7 on the size tag?

Well, as I said, it had me scratching my head.

Thanks Jeff for reminding me about Miller Bros acquiring Adam hats, I think maybe I recall reading that before. However, Miller Bros was based on Texas and this hat says it was made in Boston by W.J. Bernier and Sons (dba as Miller Bros) which I guess was another thing that struck me as odd, as I knew Miller Bros was Texas based.

And it also appears not to have a plastic tip liner (although I suppose it's possible it's just not visible) and the liner is rusched at the top which made me think maybe a 40s hat, which obviously wouldn't jive with an Adam hat made by Miller Bros after 1955.

And yes, I saw the 7/16 written next to the 7 but it seemed odd that the inventory tag didn't have the full size on it. Although maybe with custom hats back in the day they would do it that way? Just buy size 6 and size 7 inventory tags and then hand write the actual size? Although in that case it seems like it'd be easier to just have a blank tag and handwrite the whole thing.

I'll amend my statement to "I'm not sure it's what the seller thinks they're selling." And it still has me scratching my head!

Definitely unique whatever the real story is.
