Saw that and was severely tempted but since I’m a 7 1/8 I thought I should leave it for someone it would fit better. Glad it ended up in good hands, it’s a cool looking hat!

David
Thanks for looking out for me, David!
We are lucky in this hat collecting biz.
I certainly understand Mark’s frustration. Wish more folks from the past had big ole stretched out water melon heads!
:)
Now I’m just kidding, Mark. Please don’t hate us because our brains don’t slosh around in more gray matter juice than needed.
Still just kidding, bro.
:)

Check out this Foxhound I just snuck off with on a make offer option auction that had a starting bid of $68.
Didn’t want to chance not getting accepted so offered more than usual. $120.
Note the two tone bow and binding!!!
Never seen it quite like this on a vintage hat before.
And on a FoxHound to boot.
Another name plate to cross off the list. Love this one!

One sharp looking hat

They relisted a hat they bought from me (at twice the price paid) with a made up story about how dad had bought this one many years ago and shaped it himself, etc. Total bull….
Yes...this guy bugs me a LOT.....he also exaggerates the type and age of the hats....lately EVERY hat has been a "Fifteen".....I really don't understand how Ebay lets him get away with it (even uses key words which you are not supposed to do anymore).....must have some secret pull somewhere.......

The worst thing is they are always selling hats labeled 7 as 7 1/8 —because, you know, there was no standardization back in the day.
