I feel your pain....My eBay victory became an eBay defeat when this old Resistol Stagecoach arrived and my 7 5/8 hat turned out to be a size 7. Unfortunately this not nowhere near the first time something similar has happened to me. All part of the used/vintage hat game I suppose.

id leave the pug. i believe some 40s examples did have factory pugs. gives it character, and is a nice break to the usual ribbon treatment.
