Really look forward to seeing that one. From the auction photos it does appear to have the construction of a silk top hat. I can't imagine the craft work that was required to make plush seams invisible a belled crown.

It will interesting to compare to my silk ATEHA. I haven't come across any Velours like the ones at the Novy Jicin City museum. I have seen some interesting ones with longer finishes but all in very small sizes.

I saw that one. Now compared to the one last week, this one I think was worth the money. I was going to bid $90 but it surged past that in the last seconds. So, I didn't bother bidding.

I think that is old fart, not old dirt. So, I think the Latin for that is passina.
