Ah, reserves again. Good thing for the seller if that's the case.
I've never seen a seller use an ebay auction as a tribute to their parents. This is touching and sweet, yet odd all at the same time, but the seller says this is not a real auction so no bids accepted. I've bought many hats from this seller:

John Lofgren Monkey Boots Shinki Horsebuttt - $1,136 The classic monkey boot silhouette in an incredibly rich Shinki russet horse leather.
Grant Stone Diesel Boot Dark Olive Chromexcel - $395 Goodyear welted, Horween Chromexcel, classic good looks.
Schott 568 Vandals Jacket - $1,250 The classic Perfecto motorcycle jacket, in a very special limited-edition Schott double rider style. So, SO TOUCHING, CaramelSmoothie! Thank you for this post, and the opportunity to gain some beautiful human perspective. Hats off to that family.
It did much better as a 7 1/4.
It seems to be an interesting transition hat - post war? with old style ribbon... I was hoping we might get to see a few pictures.
CaramelSmoothie - nice straw. How is the web site coming on?
I am confused. Size changes? Same seller, sold, not sold. What the heck??

I guess it could have happened that way. It just confused me, is all.
