I don't think I have bought a hat in two years, since unloading about a dozen, including one now in a museum.
So I have been needing a nice gray fedora since I rarely wear my nicest Whippet in a beautiful blue. So I found a nice Adam Executive in a similar style in a nice gray.

Also snagged a very nice gray Akubra Snowy River. I bet I wear my brown Snowy River or my Fed more often to work than all my other hats. They both keep the rain off, which is nice since I have to walk from the Metro a couple of blocks to my office. They also both go with my cowboy boots, which I wear almost daily. Since I have about 30 pair I could wear a different pair every day of the month, but I don't. Here in DC I am known by many, who don't know me at all but have seen me, as "I know that guy, he's the one who wears the boots and hats all the time right?" Fedoras are seen nearly daily on my commutes, but not many nice ones and a lot of crappy ones and non-fedora trilbys and such. There are a fair number of people who wear outback style hats, mostly wool, and the wool Stetson medium brimmed country hats.
