Glad all of these great lids went to fellow loungers. I was tempted by that Stetson Twenty(too small). Ditto the Portis. Almost bid on the Dobbs C.C.(condition issues), and really admired the early Stetson Rothschild(congrats, Levallois!). Had my eye on the Kenilworth Homburg, very nice(congrats on a fine addition, Alex!).

Nice one - and at a good price too. I'm looking for a nice vintage panama in 6 7/8 but they seem to be hard to find. Plus, I don't really like the optimo bash on my noggin...

Finally got that Stetson suitcase-styled hat box in today.

Originally it was empty. So, I took some foam core board and some red velvet and gussied it up a bit with some inserts.

I stuck my Stetson Open Road Twenty-Five in it to see what it would look like.

What do ya'all think?

By the way, the whole thing is made of paperboard, not hard sided or leather.

It came out nice ! Ya done good guy I like the red fabric, makes the Silverbelly color really POP !! What model of Stetson originally came in it?
