My last hat buy for 2010 is my first Akbura! I figured it was worth a chance for $30. I guess I'll know in a week or so. It is the Akbura Pastoralist.

I will likely get rid of that band and put a nice gray ribbon on her.

Interesting....It has an OPA tag,an office abolished in mid-1947(started 1941) yet has a hand-written Open Road designation as well as The Royal Stetson DeLuxe Vita-Felt. I feel the need for a glass of milk before bed...

This one (not mine) is from a while back but a really fantastic smaller size old light color German velour. The lighter color old velours are rare so thought it was worth posting.

I keep on seeing E Bay buys on TFL on hats I might have been interested in, but which didn't show up when I searched E bay.

I too have lamented this odd phenomenon. I've seen hats (in country) sell with titles that clearly met my search criteria but never appeared in my search results. I don't know how (or how often) that happens, but it does.

Happens all the time. I've seen many open crowned fedoras on the 'Bay being advertised as bowlers or derbies. [huh]
