D'Arsac. I could only find one very small reference to this brand in the Lounge. Does anyone know something about it?

I looked through the net but could not find anything.

Looks like a sweet French felt! With that threading and leather I would guess pre50s, but it’s only a guess.

Using the same dating scale, here’s an eBay victory, circa 1910 3X, that I finished sewing the ribbon on today.
:)
Included an eBay listing screenshot for comparison. It was nice before, but I’ve been wanting a hat made like this for an awful long time.
Believe it or not, this 1 1/4” gold ribbon was made from a 2” black ribbon taken from a 60s stingy that spent 30 minutes in bleach.
That’s why there’s still some black showing on the leading edge or the bow. I actually like it there for this hat. Makes it look old, as if made in 1910.

Guessing late 30s/maybe early 40s on this very near mint condition Stetson, Judging from the square size tab and sewn rear seam, etc.
LOVE the crinkled leather sweatband print!
I have a nice, but not quite as nice, late 20s/30s Stetson summer bowler that has a better on the head look due to a 1/8” more brim width. Nevertheless, the look of this one is pretty durn good, making it difficult to make up my mind which to keep and which to sell. Only want to keep one black bowler, since I don’t often wear one. The sales sticker says this bowler sold for $7.50.
They both fit perfectly on my long oval head. Could easily decide to keep both.

No Lot XXXX on this hat. Odd. Instead, where the Lot# usually is, the front of the sweat bears this 3 number “185 Bow” ink stamp.
I’ve never seen this, has anyone else?

Not a gripe...really a lament. Picked up a Batsakes/Gus Miller custom on Ebay a few weeks back. Was very excited to find one in my size as I have long wanted one and figured I am not likely to get to Cincy any time soon. Threw in a lowish BIN price and it was accepted. I was so excited I forgot and broke my rules inquiring about flaws, stains and odours. Received the the hat and it STINKS of a weird perfumey hair product. The hat as well was super dirty, sun bleached and not at all like the pics. So I first gave it a naptha bath and it came out clean but removing the dirt revealed even more sun damage and did nothing to rid the horrid smell. I turned the hat inside out, reblock/flanged and it looks great. Soft vintage felt, vibrant blue in the felt BUT it still stinks, felt, leather sweat and liner all still stink. Gave a few vodka spritzings, helped a little, gave it generous vinegar spritzs......it all helped......a little. So now I have a beautiful Batsakes hat that smells of Pomade and fish & chips.

Most things from Cincy smell like pork and beer.
