Mallory Open Road Clone Size 7.

I have no interest in this item (too small) and do not know the seller. Wanted to post this if anyone is interested. It sure looks like a Dallas or a fifteen, hard to tell as there are no clear pictures of the sweatband where it would be indicated. Also the liner is one I've never seen before (possibly replaced)?

WTH is it with sellers? I sent this guy two (2!) emails asking how he came to the conclusion that this hat was indeed a size 7-1/2. Was there a tag or marking under the sweat? Did he measure front-to-back at the opening or the circumference?

Crickets. Putz.

Cool hat, but I've been burned before by Nimrods who think a front-to-back measurement of 7.5" means the hat is a size 7-1/2...

Great pick up. That one looks like quite a project.

I’m not sure about the sweat being salvageable, but a few months ago someone was posting about clipping off the parts with the crests and transplanting them to a new sweat. Maybe the idea will work?

There was a bit of debate about the idea.

I think if it works it could be a great way of saving some of the hat’s identity - far better I think than the current method of putting in a new sweat and keeping the old, dead sweat in a spare box or something.

Maple leaf on the liner crest, and looks like a 50's/60's LO tag, but no clue really on this one. 10x? Seems more modern maybe?
