Apparently I was the only bidder on this vintage Borso.

Any ideas on the age? This is my first Borsalino.

I would think late '70s or early '80s. I have one with the same liner and sweatband from Worth & Worth, in NYC. They were still making a great hat in those days.

Interesting. Frankly, I'll take anything from before the switchover in 1986.

I thought this one to be older based on the width of the sweatband, felted edge, and overall styling. But the box doesn't seem to be very old. I anxiously await this one's arrival to see the stickers; and hopefully a better idea on the date.

I'd say 1940's, early 1950's at the latest. The "to duplicate" labels of the '50s and later I noticed are less fancy, and it doesn't have a plastic cover on the liner.
