Early 30s suede jacket size 42-43 Named and Dated

An amazing suede jacket from the early 1930s. I'll post full measurements and further pictures this evening. It is named to a man called Williamson, and is dated "XMAS 193(X)" The (X) has been smudged but i think it's 1932. His first name is also unreadable. This has been written in pen on the suede on the inside. It has an amazing early Talon grommet zipper. It was sold by R. H. Macy & Co. and bears an early label. Lined in lovely checked brown tweed. Saddlebag (sort of) flapped patch pockets. It has some modifications (side belts and wrist belts removed) but they don't really detract. You'd never know the writ belts were there, for example, and all that remains of the side cinch belts are stitch holes. These modifications, of course, reduce the price. Bargain Basement £150 for the jacket.

Check it out. I would imagine this jacket was intended to be worn quite snug.

Chest: 22.75"-23"
Shoulders: 18.25"
Arms: 26"
Back Length: 26.75"

What a fantastic brass Talon.

Here's where the side buckles have been removed, and showing the pseudo-saddlebag nature of the pockets.

Here's the totality of the annotation. Somebody Williamson, XMAS 193(X). And you get a better impression of the liner material.

Damn, been looking for something exactly like that, although in a slightly darker hue. Not small enough to be quite as snug as I'd want it to be on me or I would have gotten it either way.
