Early 1960's (?) Stetson with Character 7 1/2

The tag says 7 5/8, but it fits like a 7 1/2 Regular Oval. Color has a bit more warmth than shows up in my pictures, and the ribbon and brim binding look almost light golden from sun exposure, I'm guessing.

It has the embroidered last drop logo liner, too, but it's yellowish and too loose to leave in. Glue residue remains inside in several spots. I'll ship the liner with the hat.

Brim binding has some stains here and there as you can see. I tried cleaning them with Woolite, and they're better. Brim is 3 1/4 inches, though, so perhaps a brim trim is in order?

I also cleaned the hat with a Woolite bath, carefully avoiding getting the sweatband wet. (It's intact, but on the stiffer side.)

The now 4 1/2-inch crown has evidence of a prior crease as you may be able to see in the pictures, which takes the form of slight discoloration from the sun.

No mothing, but there are a few light scuffs and barely noticeable water marks. All in all, a great old hat you don't need to baby.

I'd like $80 including Conus shipping. Hope that's reasonable.

I believe that's a Stetson 'Dune', part of the Gun Club collection. My best friend in HS had one. It's a nice lid - a big brim obviously, but well balanced with the crown - I'd guess that's the 'Acorn' color.

Randall, I can't see the evidence of the previous crease in the pictures. Does it look like it was a cattleman's crease?

Yes, it was. You can only see that in bright light and up close.

I have probably overstated the hat's flaws. It looks great.
