I can't remember where the thread is, but recently we talked somewhere about flat caps, and I mentioned some i had seen on sale in Covent Garden Market here in London. Went back this weekend and picked up two for £25 (mine are both cashmere; they also have a regular wool tweed for two for £20). Pics:

Very light, though I think they will prove warm into the winter. Nice to wear. Sizes seem to run a little small - I normally wear a medium but needed the alrge in these. I'm not confident a strong wind wouldn't whip it off, but I'll see how they go (I find a lot of hats seem to "shrink to fit" relatively quickly on me). We'll see how it wrinkles up. My other one (no photos yet) is a brown colour in the same herringbone pattern. They also have slightly heavier (and slightly more expensive) Gatsby style hats, though they didn't have my size left in the colours I liked.

I was over there in the winter/spring of '91 and picked up a nice one in a cream/tan tweed at the Cotswold Woolen weavers in Filkins.

:) That'd look great with a russet leather jacket. :)

Have you decided which jacket you are going to get Edward?

Best time to splash out on one, those cooler months are just around the corner ;)
