I think it is very cool that you have a place in Bulgaria. I used to go there as a kid. You could pick wild grapes and figs on the seaside dunes and collect clams for roasting in bonfire. Very few tourists then. My Tom Sawyer moments.
Bulgaria is great. It used to be nicer. In my view, they are building way too many condos. Price has double in the last 5 years. However, still the best deal in Eastern Europe for people like me. It has access to the sea, and you can travel to Central Europe in a Car. Spain is getting ridiculous and Portugal is expensive now. I had a Greek apartment deal with a friend, however, he got a little greedy and decided to put it in the short rental rotation. Eastern Europe is a deal and a beautiful place to live if you are retired. You still can find a nice flat for under 80k. Currently, I am eyeing a Winter flat that is within driving distance.
