Does this leather jacket fit me?

I’m unsure about the overall style…it will take some time for me to marinate on it. It vibes like alternate SpongeBob Squarepockets or something you’d see at the truck stop. Dunno. Even if I’m not totally sold on it I clearly like it more than some of you guys lol

Style questions aside I am happy with the fit on mine. I can also comfortably fit a sweater underneath. Funny as it may be the Ike is what finally convinced me to sell my Columbia heh

To the length question - mine is a 40 and has 24.5” back which is within my comfort zone. It was advertised as being from the ‘70s

Now that you ask, I'm not 100% sure whether I checked the serial number or whether I was told by the previous owner.

Vanson Ike is a weird jacket. The piping looks off. The collar is too small. I’m actually surprised these get ordered at all.

I have to disagree here, I absolutely love the piping! It’s like a GW Arcadia only less piping and a lot less expensive!

I thinks that’s why I don’t like it. To me it should extend up to the shoulder and look more like a yoke. I loved the piping on this campus:

But there’s something strange about it coming out at the lower level and framing the pockets like that.

I like that one too, because the piping frames the entire (or 3/4) of the pocket. I’ve looked for that jacket in my size for decades.

The current Ike jacket is a weird one. Size 42 usually is 42 O.D. around the hem for Vanson, but the Ike size 42 Ike is 46” around the hem. It’s also 26” long.
