Last Halloween I dressed as the Eleventh Doctor, but no one noticed that I was even in costume. Matt Smith basically pulled his costume out of my wardrobe.

I've said this in an earlier thread, but I wonder how long it will be until we get "Doctor Who" comments as often as we hear "Indiana Jones" remarks. lol

Agreed! Except that I would never wear a clip-on!

BTW, I just scored a nice Barbour tweed with leather elbow patches over the weekend. It makes me wish for autumn.

Tweed, in general, has been enjoying a resurgence in the last few years, particularly in women's wear. This reminds me of Mad Men trying to take credit for the skinny suit when it had been available from a myriad of designers for well over a decade.

Once, I wore very similar to what Matthew Robert Smith Esq. wore as The Doctor (save I wore button braces and self-tie bowtie of course). I heard a child walk pass me saying to her mother that I dressed like The Doctor.

He just seems very weak. Not an old soul in any way shape or form, just an indecisive young man that doesn't trust any decision he makes. Unlike any other Dr. I remember, this guy is just someone I think I could outwit in an argument on made up quantum physics. Also when it comes to style I think he's too plain jane. Not as bad as the leather jacket T-shirt combo Eccleston had, but plain jane as in no real flare is in the outfit. If the bowtie had heart, the jacket had a quirk, the trousers weren't so... so... so exactly what you find in fit and style to what the guy next to me on the sidewalk is wearing. He also appears to be trying to channel the last Doc too much and it wears.

This Dr. has no kick to his stride, and when he fakes it you can tell he doesn't trust it.

Not every gal in The Doctor's life has to be a head over heels love interest. I think that's also taking this version down.
