It arrived

I will try and post some photos of it on later today.
The hat is nice the sweat was a little tight but I rubbed it down with Lexol and put the hat jack in it with just a little preasure.
The short brim will take me a little while to get used to ...but it is a hat that my grand dad could have worn and that means I would have worn it too.

p.s. it also came with a old Pilgrim box.

I just found out my daughter 'borrowed' my camera, so it may be a couple of days before I post some photos.

I will post a few of it on and get the opinion as to whether it suits me or not.

I agree, I can't wait til Straw weather myself, I've acquired at least 2 new ones since last year (one of them thanks to Indy), and I'm currently watching 2 more right now......

Cool Hat

My Granddad had a hat very similar to that, seems the sunlight was shining in his eyes through the holes. He spray painted the under side of the brim with gloss black enamel then he went back on the swather cutting hay. His opinion was that sometimes tools had to be modified to produce the best results. I can't wait to see yours done with some tact.

It's got a very nice shape to the crown, RBH, which probably looks all the better for the proportionate width of the brim around it. I reckon it's gonna look great on you, I'm looking forward to the pics!

I know how you feel about the short brim thing. I wore my panama today and it just feels to short for my big head. Good thing I have one from panama Bob that will be going to Art in the next week.

Don't sell yourself short my friend, it looks great on ya. To tell you the truth....lookin' at them side by side, you can hardly tell the difference in the brim size. It is a nice hat indeed, but not as nice as your PB, sorry. [huh]

Ithink the huge ribbon gives the effect of a small brim, If it even had another ribbon just like the one on the left it would look great!
