@fashion frank, you guys are looking real swell! That's awesome! Of course, it goes without saying that a man in a good hat has an air of distinction, but gosh darn it, I just love a classy dame in a glamorous hat! Not everyone can pull it off, well done to you guys!

Listen...there's nothing sexier (to me) than a woman that knows how to accessorize. And one that wears a proper hat would capture my attention and have my immediate interest. Bonus points if she's 50+.

There aren't many people (male or female) that wear proper hats near me in the DMV area, but when I do see someone...it sparks an immediate kinship.

I was just rumaging around the FL and came across this thread which poses an interesting question that will provke many opinions. Personally, I do not think men in general hate women's hats. I like hats in general and believe a hat is part of the overall fashion statement the wearer is trying to convey. The hat should not conflict with the rest of the ensemble and should, in my opinion, be proportionate to the head of the wearer. The hat adds style and can convey sophistication. Personally, again, I do not care for berets on women or men but I do not insist on my opnion.

As an aside, I do not pretend to know a lot about women but I live by at least three hard and fast rules when interacting with a woman. First, never discuss a woman's hair. Secondly, never discuss a woman's weight. Lastly, never discuss a woman's age. Perhaps I should add a fourth rule and never discuss a woman's hat selection. It also goes with out saying that I never discuss a woman's hair, weight or age with other men. Gentlemanly behavior must be practiced at all times.
